An Introduction to MED OSMoSIS

MED OSMoSIS is a strategic project focusing on the development of modules for Maritime Surveillance activities to enhance maritime situational awareness in the Mediterranean. It aims to ease information exchanges that will support the further development of a regional/local smart plug-in capability supporting interoperable and transnational systems. Its expected results include innovative solutions, capitalization on the project’s pilot studies and a list of platforms for Maritime Surveillance. The project brings together 10 partners from 8 coastal states of the Mediterranean: Greece – project leader, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro. It gathers public scientific institutions and national authorities in charge of navigation safety and maritime surveillance.
